La Vuelta Cycle Race passes Gran Alacant, 27th August

Cyclists participating in the 2017 Vuelta a España passed by Gran Alacant on Sunday afternoon, 27th August 2017.

Residents and visitors to Gran Alacant were able to see part of the 9th stage of the 72nd edition of the Spanish cycling tour as the cyclists passed the entrance to Gran Alacant on N-332 heading north to Cumbre del Sol.

The Vuelta a España is the final Grand Tour of the 2017 cycling season is a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race.
