Gran Alacant Municipal Park Officially Inaugurated

Welcome to the Inauguration of Gran Alacant’s Municipal Park.

Gran Alacant’s Municipal Park was officially inaugurated on Sunday 7th February 2010 by Santa Pola’s Mayor Miguel Zaragoza Fernández.

Residents came from around Gran Alacant to see the official opening of the park given the name Sierra de Santa Pola.

The park features several play areas depending on the children’s age, exercise machines for the elderly, picnic tables for lunches and afternoon snacks and seating to enjoy the local views.

The main entrance has been designed to be a square as a meeting place for residents of Gran Alacant.

Today is a big day for me, something so special that it’s a personal achievement to be able to open these doors for everyone.

I hope with all my heart that everyone enjoys this special meeting place.

I hope that this park will become a meeting point for all the people living in Santa Pola (and this is the message we have written on the entrance sign).

I hope that you like what we have done for you. The Municipal Park Sierra de Santa Pola is today a reality, another one we have already in Gran Alacant.

Gran Alacant´s Municipal Park is situated in the middle part of Gran Alacant at the intersection between Avda de Mediterraneo and Avda de Escandinavia close to the Gran Alacant Post Office.
