It stands for `Agentes de la Propiedad Inmobiliaria: Estate Agents’.

A.P.I’s are estate agents and valuers belonging to a professional college like architects and lawyers. Larger towns or cities such as Alicante or Valencia each have an A.P.I. college.

A.P.I estate agents are regulated, trained and are government approved. A.P.I’s are able to provide official valuations for the courts.

A.P.I’s also have a regulatory body for any discrepancies related to property law.

A.P.I’s are compelled to subscribe to the professional liability insurance by the governing body C.O.A.P.I.
