Gran Alacant saw one of the most important people from the Catholic Church visit the land where the new church is to be constructed after the agreement was made to transfer for free a plot of land.
Mons. Rafael Palmero Ramos, Bishop of Orihuela the representative of the Catholic Church visited the site on Saturday 18th December 2010 accompanied by Gran Alacant's Councillor, Loreto Cascales Martínez and Mayor of Santa Pola Miguel Zaragoza.
