ASVEGA collecting food for Cáritas Santa Pola

ASVEGA Gran Alacant Food Collection Point

Gran Alacant´s shoppers have donated 1,208 kg of groceries to ASVEGA´s Food Collection for needy families in Santa Pola.

Volunteers from the European Residents Neighbourhood Association of Gran Alacant (ASVEGA) were stationed outside Mercadona all day on Saturday from 9am until 9pm.

All the items collected have been passed on to the most needy through the Spanish charity Cáritas that helps people in precarious and / or social exclusion in Santa Pola.

Last year Gran Alacant shoppers donated 1,106 kg of groceries.

ASVEGA wish to thank Gran Alacant´s neighbours and visitors for their generosity.
