Roundabout Fountain Construction

Gran Alacant´s Roundabout near to the school is the first roundabout to feature a cascading water fountain. It was given the official name Cabo de Santa Pola.

The roundabout was officially inaugurated by Santa Pola’s Mayor on Sunday 13th February 2011. 

The project cost 162,000€ and was funded by the Government under Plan E for local employment and sustainability. The objective was to improve the safety at the roundabout near Gran Alacant’s School.

The photos of the roundabout construction were taken between April 2010 and February 2011.

After the roundabout was finished and inaugurated in February 2011 work began later that year on the low level perimeter wall.  This photo was taken on the 5th November 2011.
