Gran Alacant's Website is compiling
a map of all locations in Gran Alacant and Santa Pola that
offer free high speed wireless internet access to customers
and guests and/or the general public.

restaurant or maybe you run a business offering free Wi-Fi
to customers, to get your Wi-Fi location on the map fill out

to the map.
What is Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi simply means broadband
without wires. It is also known as 'wireless broadband',
'wireless networking' or 'wireless fidelity'.
Computers with Wi-Fi network
cards connect wirelessly to a wireless router. The router
is connected to the Internet by means of a modem, typically
a cable or DSL modem or in some instances a microwave link.
Depending on the signal transmitted by the wireless router
a user can connect to the internet up to 200 feet (approx
60 meters) of the access point. For better transfer rates,
the closer to the access point.
What is a Wi-Fi Zone?
A Wi-Fi Zone is a location that
offers free Wi-Fi high speed wireless internet access to customers
and guests and/or the general public.
