A Press Release sent to Gran Alacant´s Website confirms that the Popular Party (PP) have lost control of Santa Pola Town Hall after the 5 opposition parties make a political pact forming the majority.

The outcome of the local elections on Sunday 24th May 2015 meant that the PP were unable to secure an absolute majority gaining nine councillors fallling short of 2 councillors.

PP´s Mayor Miguel Zaragoza has also been replaced by Mayoress Doña Yolanda Seva Ruiz.

The political parties forming the pact are: PSOE-PSPV, CIUDADANOS, COMPROMÍS, Sí SE PUEDE SANTA POLA and EUPV.

PP have been in power at the Santa Pola Town Hall for 12 years.
