Founder and Director - Antonio Nawaqavou

`Antonio wants to set up a totally new club bringing back some of the old teaching of rugby values, spirit and mix with modern coaching…’

Antonio is the oldest of 3 rugby playing brothers Pictured far left (Setefano - Brothers Rugby Club, Brisbane, Australia, Benditto - Vallejo Barbarians Rugby Club, San Fransisco, USA) born into the rugby family of Nukubalavu, Savusavu (Hidden Paradise), in the Fiji Islands.

He played most of his rugby and started coaching in New Zealand at the Star Rugby Club, (Spotswood UnitedRFC Merger of the Spotswood College Old Boys) Runner Up - Finalist Vs Kaponga Rugby club (Ex All Black Fullback - Kieren Crowley and his Brothers, current Canada Coach) in 1984 second division of the Taranaki Rugby Union in Taranaki New Zealand.

Back in the good old days of rugby he played at the top level before moving to Auckland and joined, Auckland Grammar Old Boys, also the club of the former All Blacks Captain, Gary Whetton and his Twin brother Alan J Whetton, (the only Twin Brother ever played for the All Blacks), where he also played top club rugby.

He took up coaching a bit more seriously, and he is married to a Spanish Barrister of Las de Rozas. Madrid, where he has coached few top clubs since 2004. He has won 2 “Madrid Cup” with 2 different top clubs, one as head coach and the other a forward coach, all within a period of 3 seasons.

He now wants to set up a totally new club bringing back some of the old teaching of rugby values, spirit and mix with modern coaching, as he has done with a few clubs that he has been involved in lately, like the new set up of N332 BAA BAAS SELECTION and the new Santa Pola Rugby Academy (SPRA).
