Municipal Park offically opens in Gran Alacant
The Gran Alacant Municipal Park
was officially inaugurated at 12 noon on Sunday 7th February 2010
by Santa Pola's Mayor Miguel Zaragoza.
Residents came from around Gran
Alacant to see the official opening of the park. The park has
several play areas depending on the children's ages, exercise
machines for the older people, picnic tables for lunches and afternoon
snacks and seating to enjoy the local views. The main entrance
has been designed to be a square as a meeting place for residents
of Gran Alacant.
The surface area is 5000m2 and cost
around 350,000 euros which was paid for by the Central Government.

The park can be found in the middle
part of Gran Alacant at the intersection between Avda de Mediterraneo
and Avda de Escandinavia close to the Post Office.
