Alacant's International Bowling Tournament takes place at
Montemar Bowls with 96 players from Ireland, England, Wales,
Scotland, Italy and for the first time Spain which will
include our Councillor Loreto Cascales.

Makers International - Gran Alacant Choir
Melody Makers Gran Alacant is a choir for the Gran Alacant/
Santa Pola area. New members are always welcome.
They meet in the Sala Municipal,
Life Resort, Gran Alacant every Friday Morning 11am-1pm.
The GA Choir are working
towards two concerts a year, in January and June.

theatre group donate money from their recent performances
to two different associations. The Parents Association of
the School Doña Vicenta Ruso in Gran Alacant (50€)
and Nuevo Horizonte Association in Santa Pola (250€)
from Pablo Iglesias. They are going to open a new library
for children and the money was very well received

Alacant `Charity Sale' in aid of Red Cross - November 2010
A group of British residents from Gran Alacant
are organising a `Charity Sale' on Saturday 13th November
with all funds donated to Red Cross.
The event is being held at the Monte Mar
Bowls & Social Club from 1100 to 1500hrs with volunteers
offering for sale second-hand goods in good condition;
household items, clothing, jewellery plus many other items.
There'll also be a tombola,
a contest to guess the weight of the cake and many other
activities.
All profits made on
the day will go to Red Cross projects in Santa Pola.

Libro - April 2010
During the month of April
Gran Alacant's International Library and the local schools
in the area celebrated `Semana del Libro - Book's Week'.
The
library organised a number of activities based
around books including Cuentacuentos Infantil and creating
original book marks with children. As
part of the celebration the library featured a photo display
of Wild Flowers and Plants found in Gran Alacant produced
