GASP (Gran Alacant and Santa Pola Theatre Group) have staged their latest evening of entertainment on the 26th and 27th November, at the Santara Life Resort.
The first half consisted of three Victorian melodramas: “The Drunkard’s Dilemma”, “The Wages of Sin” and “Maria Marten”, all wildly over-acted and full of corny jokes. The audience happily joined in the fun booing the villains, cheering the heroes and crying with the heroines.
For the second half GASP presented a lighthearted look at Brexit, including a sneaky eavesdrop on a Minister’s meeting with her PPS, a Scots clergyman’s dream of the future and a difficult time at a cafe. Finally the team gave all the latest news (possibly) from home and abroad.
A good time was had by all and GASP members were delighted with the audience support. GASP will make a donation from ticket receipts to the Cruz Roja, Santa Pola.
